Dartington Summer Club

ball-pool-bbIn 2016 the Hollow Lane Club opened a second club at Bidwell Brook School in Dartington, starting with a 12 day summer club. This club has been supported by funding from Children in Need and offers children and young people the opportunity to spend time with their friends over the summer holidays in familiar surroundings. Activities include art, craft, music, trips and outings, swimming in the hydrotherapy pool.

Following a successful first year, for 2017 we will be offering a larger number of spaces at the Bidwell Brook Club. A full club schedule is issued nearer to the summer – we are not able to issue this before booking.

Staff for this club are largely drawn from the staff base at Bidwell Brook school so will be familiar to the families.

“Hollow Lane Club transformed our summer! We appreciated the respite and were a much happier family as a result. I have searched for years for something like this, so little is out there! Thank you!” Bidwell Brook Parent evaluation, 2016

Bookings are open to any child with a recognised special need or disability, and we welcome siblings too. Bookings for summer club usually open in the Spring Term and fill up quickly. Early booking is advisable and places become limited but contact us for the latest situation.

Our aim is to continue to expand opportunities at Bidwell Brook to be able to offer the same services to families there as we do for Ellen Tinkham families. If parents are interested in after school clubs, Saturday clubs or a sibling group then please contact us to find out more.

In October 2018 a Monday After School Club began at Dartington and in February 2019 a monthly Saturday Club started.
